This song represents my american dream and it also represents me.

Feel the rain on your skin
By Natasha Bedingfield
I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, oh, oh

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else

Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, yeah, yeah

This song represents my American dream because I want to make my own decisions, my own mistakes.  I want to have the opportunity to have my own dreams, goals.  I want to be the person that says where I am going.  I want to be the honor of my life.  Not my mom, dad, brother, family, or friends.  They can give me there opinion but at the end I want to be the one who makes the decision.  I want the power to control my life.

This song is saying that you have a blank page and pencil and you’re the only one that can write your future on it.  This page is your future and the pencil is your decisions.  Once you’re writing on the page it becomes your present and your future.  It is only up to you what and how you want your present and future to look and be like.

This song also represents me in some way; it took me time to understand this.   I am still learning how to us the pencil.  The page always seems to get lost and is hard to find it at times, and sometimes I don’t even want to find it.  It is hard not being able to know or understand at firs.  I hope one day I can fully take responsibility of my present and future just like it should be.

What I am learning in the Summer Readiness Program

Summer Readiness is a program that helps us, the students beginning college; make the transition proses much easier and rewording for us.  The classes that are requiring taking in the summer are: Personal Growth 30, English 12A, English 42 and 43.  Each of these classes is rewording and helpful in their own unique ways.  Personal Growth 30, its designed to help us choose are career and make that ways classes choice we need to take to reach are goal.  It also teaches us the system of school how it works like Reg-e, look for class schedule, the correct classes to take to transfer and attain an AA.  English 12A, it’s a class you take online that has five test you need to take and beast on your test cores it helps you build your English skills from were you are till were you need to be.  It’s a pretty good class.  English 42 and 43, I can only say “I love this class!” my professor Mr. Aronson it’s a very good instructor.  I can really see he likes teaching.  Mr. Aronson asked how we learn.  He gathers all that information and he created on environment that has been so far the greatest class I have ever had.  I learn a lot and he makes us see thing in deferent ways, like comparing readings with others, why is this reading important, what is the writer trying to say, what is the lesson, idea, reason, the purpose of the book, essay, speech, article, quotes and songs.  I also learned the structure of sentences and how to build a good sentence.  Also I like the class because I read my first book till the end and I loved it. We read “the five people you meet in heaven” by Mitch Albom.  The Summer Readiness Program has been a great experience.

What Summer Readiness means to me.

My way of seeing Summer Readiness, is preparing me for college.  It is college, but this program is a transition from high school to college.  It helped me see how college works.  It is helping me with my confidents and developing new skills that will help me be successful.  My first impression when i started my class is that it's a very valuable time.  Every second in the class is significant, I learn every day, and everything is important.  I feel that everyone is making sure I am prepared.
Making sure I come up with goals and try for every single one of them.  I feel secure knowing that I have someone to ask if I need help or didn't understand something.

who am i

Hello,

My name is Barbie Barbosa. I am 18 years old. I graduated from Crawford CHAMPs, Community Health And Medical Practices. I was interested in pursuing a career in the medical field, but that changed, now my passion is in being a photojournalist. I love taking pictures and I enjoy writing. I will be one of those few people that say "I can’t wait to go to work" sins I will enjoy my career, it won’t be a pain working. I like to make choices that will benefit me in the future, sometime is not a benefit in my present. When this happens I know it's the best decision so I don't see it as a negative prospective. Some this interesting about me is that I like seeing the positive things in everything, even when they seem negative.

They are people out there just like us.

They are people out there just like us.

They’re sad and lonely.

They are scared, afraid of something or someone. They are scared of their life.

Those people are hopeless.

They don't have a home, they don’t have any dreams, they don't have anything.

The only thing they have and need is their family and themselves, BUT it’s being taken away.

They are screaming for hope, for a home, for dreams, for their lives, for their family.

They are screaming there lungs out for them to stop feeling scared, afraid of something or someone.

Please let’s pray for those people that are in need.

Please help those people that are in need.

If they need someone to talk to, please be there.

If they need a friend, please be their friend.

If they don’t want to be alone, then please be with them.

We all need each other no matter what, we will need each other so please be there for your people. They don’t have to look like you.

They don’t have to like what you like.

They don’t have to think the way you think.

They just need to be people.

We are all people, so let’s help each other.

If we pray for dose people, friends, family that are in need we will be helping them.

We might not see it now,

BUT we will one day,

And we will look back,

And see all those prayers come true.

Pray with your heart.

Pray with your soul.

Pray with hope.

For those people out there are just like us.

Let’s pray to help each other.

I am poem

I am compassionate person who loves art

I wonder how different other cultures are

I hear how people scream for help

I see how children look up in to the sky wishing for hope

I want to make a difference in the world

I am compassionate person who loves art

I pretend everyting is okay when its not

I feel sad when I am happy

I touch with out feeling

I worry that one day I will die and never say how I really feel

I cry when I ruin happy moments

I am compassionate person who loves art

I understand that my life was hard but I also know it can be better

I say look to the future not to the past

I dream that one day I will get married and have a family of my own and be very happy

I try my best to become a better person everyday that gose by

I hope one day to look back without tears coming out my eyes

I am compassionate person who loves art
